How It Began.

Hello and welcome to 300 miles! This project began (as all good projects do) after a late night conversation between two friends over several glasses of wine. David had had the most brilliant idea for a new piece of theatre that he wanted to direct but did not have the time or experience to write a play from scratch. I thought that it was such a great idea that I was sure my friend Vanessa, who is already an established playwright and producer, would be interested in a collaboration. A series of emails flew back and forth and lo and behold we had ourselves the germ of a project. We are not kidding ourselves that it will be easy – the play needs to be written and we need to get funding but between us we have a wealth of experience and endless enthusiasm for the project which we estimate will take about 2 years to be realised. We aim to plot the progress of our project but as it is an original idea we do not want to be too specific as to the content (it is a jealously guarded secret!). We have a working title of His Naked Eye and this will be a collaboration between The Estate (Coventry) and Theatre in Action (Glasgow) Please have a look at the relevent pages to see what we have produced so far.
